My goal as an educator is to dispel this list of what school doesn’t teach while prioritizing The 4Rs: Realness, Relevance, Rigor & Relationships. Students learn to read & write analytically, develop real financial skills and sustained action civics & service learning projects. This website is a capstone to my Teachers For Global Classrooms Fulbright Fellowship and showcases my students’ work and instruction that extends learning beyond a classroom.

My students’ work has been infused into a free online curriculum to help other educators interested in this. The U.S. Department of State offers Solving Global Problems, a free, self-paced online course to help educators prepare to ignite students’ critical thinking and creativity through a focus on tackling global problems.
